Big Norwegian Bales

Every one knows that Norway has bigger bales than Sweden.

Yeasterday I created my first Norwegian bales and they were superb. Very rustic. The recipe is highly strait forward.

500 g – mince meat
1 ts – ginger
0.5 ts – nutmeg
1 – egg
salt and pepper

Mix the ingredients together, make the big Norwagian bales in the palm of your wet hands. Then you fry them and put them in juicy Nordic brown sauce.

500 dl – water with stock
2.5 ss – flower
1 dl – milke
1 onion
salt and pepper

Now you can enjoy Big Norwegian Bales with potatoes and carrots without the need to visit Norway or Ikea for sissy Swedish bales.

If you are trully dedicated to Norwegian Bales you will also have to hunt down Lingonberry and Sauerkraut.

Creamed peas are also good with Norwegian Bales

Enjoy ; )

  1. Apparently our puzzles are very popular in Sweden.
I shall take the challenge with the first Swed I see… we shall have good beer (neither Swedish or Norwegian, sins both countries produce piss beer) and make bales like never before.
    Then we shall see…

  2. Allow me to dispute your attempt at meatballs! Everyone knows size doesn’t matter: it is what you do with it that counts, the way the meaty flavours travel around your mouth! I challenge you to a meatball-cook-off-competition! Question is if you norwegians are clever enough to join? As the question goes; What do you get if you split an A4 paper in two?
